Entrepreneurs in British Columbia are using TikTok to supercharge their businesses and the economy

  1. Edison Motors

    Golden, British Columbia

Chace Barber credits TikTok with helping him build a new multi-million dollar business. Back in 2020, Chace was a truck driver hauling logs in Canada. He joined in discussions on TikTok about the issues with modern semi-trucks and the opportunities to develop a hybrid electric option. Now TikTok is helping Chace live out his dream, with Edison Motors leading the future of hybrid-electric automotive development and manufacturing in Canada.

  2. 4 Generations Creations

    Kamloops, British Columbia

Ashley Michel started 4 Generations Creations as an e-commerce store where she sold traditional Indigenous attire including ribbon skirts and regalia that she had created to wear to Indigenous pow wows and gatherings across Turtle Island. After being inspired by small business creators on TikTok, she decided to launch her own Indigenous sticker collection, and quickly sold out. As her product line and TikTok community grew, she opened her first brick and mortar store, and will be expanding again in the summer of 2025.

  3. YVR Cookie

    Vancouver, British Columbia

Monique Lisek combined her passions for baking and bodybuilding to create YVR Cookie, a small business selling giant cookies to competitive bodybuilders with a sweet tooth. The community Monique built on TikTok helped her grow from baking in her own kitchen to opening her own production facility where Monique has a team of bakers to make and ship hundreds of cookies every day.
